Mark Vann - I’m very impressed with the way this lens draws. Its buttery smooth and the OOF transitions look very Leica like.

Tim Horacek - These shots are great – more than just samples.

I’m looking forward to your full-size examples!

Douglas Stanley - love it.

john kraus - Very helpful, appreciated.
Quite a few 1.4 images not perfectly crisp, but they sharpen up well.
May I ask if you tested/adjusted AF fine tune, or used live view to focus?
Also what was the ratio of keepers focus-wise?

Martyn McMad - Beautiful

Craig Richard Lloyd - Looks like a winner… Should finally put some downward pressure on the original Noct pricing.

Richard Berman - Do you think there is a distinct advantage over the 50mm 1.4G lens, which I presently own??

Michael Jaster Fotografie Düsseldorf - Ein sehr feines Glas und die Bilder versprechen gutes ………

Jalle Torbjörnsson - Nice Sam. I still have my M9 and Sony RX1r cause I love the 3D pics. I have the D800E and the 1.4 lenses but this seems to pop out in 3D. Nice pics. Gonna get the lens. You convinced me :)

Muskoka Wedding | Taboo Resort | Lauren & Aaron

Lauren and Aaron live in downtown Toronto but picked the beautiful Taboo Resort in Muskoka to host their wedding.

It looked like it was going to rain most of the day but it held off. The first look, wedding party photos, family photos and their Jewish wedding ceremony were all outside with a beautiful view of Lake Muskoka. It may have been overcast most of the day but the sun made a beautiful appearance as it set over the horizon of the lake.

I have to say, Lauren and Aaron’s family and friends are a fun bunch. There was nothing but laughter and big smiles throughout the whole wedding reception.

There might have been a tear or two as well.

Many thanks to the talented Aron Goss of Calculated Style Photography for spending most of the weekend with me to photograph Lauren and Aaron’s wedding. It wouldn’t have been the same without him.
